Research, analysis, guidelines for support in using
the existing standards, platforms, and legislation

The proposed activity includes several main clusters of tasks:

  1. Research of existing technological opportunities and familiarization with legal requirements for the performing artists to penetrate and sustain their creative work through streaming, content creation and submission/pitching of work to various enterprises. The activity will include a detailed research around existing opportunities along with respective requirements/standards for automatic exchange of digital content. The research work will also dive deeper into the European and the stepping stone on this research will be the Directive 2019/790 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market.
  2. Analysis and recommendations Based on the previous work, the partnership will develop a report, containing analytical part, as well as recommendations for delivering guidelines and educational resources for the needs of the young and freelance artists, among which those with fewer opportunities, as well as for the cultural operators and their teams of experts and trainers. The analytical part will put a viewpoint of the project target groups on how they could access these requirements and make use of the existing legislative frame of Europe.
  3. Guidelines and educational resources Based on the analysis recommendations, Guidelines will be developed and published for the needs of the project target groups. They will put the focus on how the standards of the digital value chain is implemented in practice and how the freelance artists, the young performers, the performing artists with fewer opportunities could apply them to their work. The guidelines will also introduce the European legislative base in a comprehensive way to the project target groups. The cultural operators will also benefit from the developed standard, as they will be equipped with knowledge and specific instruments for collaboration with their teams and trainers
